Hi, I’m Charity Warden. From 2017 - 2025, I had the joy of working as a Parent Educator with the Wichita Public Schools Parents as Teachers program. Before that, I spent over two decades with Head Start in Springfield, MO and in Wichita starting as a family advocate and eventually serving as a supervisor. Supporting families and watching children grow has always been at the heart of what I do. I’ve been married to my husband since 1998, and we have three wonderful children. Our youngest is a senior at Eisenhower High School, so we’re soaking in every last moment of his high school years. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me with my family - whether we’re in Kansas or back home visiting loved ones in Missouri - or cheering from the sidelines at my kids’ sporting events.
About Parents As Teachers (PAT) Staff

Charity Warden – PAT Coordinator

Michelle Convirs – Parent Educator
Michelle Convirs brings over 18 years of experience in education, ranging from early childhood through higher education. However, her passion lies in early childhood. Parents as Teachers is near and dear to her heart because not only was she a PAT child at an early age, but she was also a PAT parent with her own children. Michelle is thrilled to build relationships and empower families in her community by providing a nurturing and supportive environment to help parents and children develop strong foundations for future success. Michelle married her college sweetheart in 2004. They have three sons and will be adding a daughter-in-law in the fall of 2025, plus, their dog. With several athletes in the house, they spend most of their time at the fields or the courts.
