On Monday, March 31st, USD 265 hosted a 2025 Bond Informational Kick-off Event at Oak Street Elementary School. The come-and-go event, which ran from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., provided hundreds of community members with detailed information about the proposed bond initiative and how it will shape the future of students, staff, and families in Goddard Public Schools.
District and building administrators, Board of Education members, and faculty and staff from across the district were present throughout the evening to help inform community members on key components of the bond proposal. Information stations featured detailed presentations on plans for new buildings to manage the growing student population, infrastructure improvements, safety and security enhancements designed to address the district's current needs and anticipated future growth. Bond materials, such as presentation boards and informative booklets, provided comprehensive breakdowns of the funding structure, emphasizing the district's commitment to fiscal responsibility while pursuing necessary improvements.
Architectural images and facility plans were displayed throughout the event, giving community members visual context for the proposed improvements. In addition to the materials at the event, the bond website was launched which includes tools and information for district residents such as frequently asked questions (FAQs), a calculator to help identify residential household investment, important deadlines for voting, and a detailed description of all proposed bond-related projects. On Tuesday, May 13th, 2025, the Goddard Public Schools community has the opportunity to continue the legacy of prioritizing educational excellence and investing in the future. Each resident of USD 265 has the chance to help shape the future of the district, and impact the experience of existing and future students. This bond issue provides solutions to accommodate the growing student population, as well as a focus on the future to create the best possible learning environment for all students and families.
