Heads up, #265Family! The dedicated USD 265 Transportation team (our amazing bus drivers) will be out practicing routes to ensure a smooth start to the school year. You might see them in district vehicles or even buses as they familiarize themselves with the routes and timing for the coming school year. If you're visiting our schools, please help us out by avoiding parking in bus loading zones during these times.

Thanks to the amazing support from a Goddard Education Foundation Innovative Teacher Grant, this program is bringing vital life skills and positive decision-making strategies to our #265Family. The Goddard High School (GHS) Lions carried on their own tradition of excellence at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference in May of this year! In Orlando, GHS students continued the incredible momentum from last year's success in Chicago. Congratulations to sophomores Dean Northcutt, Ian Kreibach, and Kai Waddell for landing in the Top 10 in the Nation for Software Engineering Team! Their incredible game "The Power of the Lost City of Atlantis" caught lots of attention and earned them a spot in the prestigious National Showcase on Saturday, May 10th. Northcutt also excelled at last year's nationals, placing in the top third nationally in both Information Technology Concepts and Computer Programming Concepts. From submission, to interview, to the final showcase - these Lions proved that Goddard talent consistently competes alongside the best in the country! These students represented our #265Family with pride at nationals: - Talyn Rhoten (senior) earned his Java certification as a three-time National Qualifier and Kansas BPA State Champion - Brayden Risser (senior) earned his Web Design certification while competing in four different events - Jasmine Son (senior) earned her Web Design certification competing across multiple technology categories - Kevin Kiralyfalvi (sophomore) earned his Web Design certification while competing in three events - Aydan Pham (sophomore) represented GHS in multiple programming and IT concepts competitions - Chapter President Gabrielle Knight (junior) and Vice President Adam Vincent (senior) completed the prestigious BPA Leadership Institute Training Program While 15 students qualified, 10 placed and built on an already established and strong tradition of BPA excellence. Special thanks to the parents, GHS faculty, and chapter members who made this incredible opportunity possible through their support! Way to go, Lions!
