Today, November 16, is our last DART practice for the season! Thank you for a great season!
We will send information out closer to the start of our spring season.

Join us at Freddy's tonight for Spirit Night!

Discovery's Pride Pack was so honored to host our Heroes Breakfast on Monday, November 13. We had nearly 90 people in attendance and loved the opportunity for our students to celebrate the Veterans and First Responders in their lives. As Joseph Campbell says, "A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself."
The Discovery Choir performed for our Heroes and students, high school volunteers that helped run the griddle for our breakfast, and our PTO President , Ray Hall, helped serve. It was so heart-warming to see our community work together to make this event such a success.

We are so excited for our Heroes Breakfast that's getting underway! It's our honor to celebrate our Veterans and First Responders today.

Ms. Nixon's Veteran Wall turned out amazing!! We can't wait to celebrate our Veterans at the Pride Pack Heroes Breakfast Monday morning!

Discovery 5th and 6th grade Band students put on a great informance Tuesday night! We are so proud of how hard they've worked this first quarter. We so appreciate Mr. Brown and Mr. Jervis's dedication to our students!

Be sure to download the Goddard Public Schools app in the App Store or Google Play!
You can find everything you need in one place! We will also send push notifications for important events like weather closures and event cancelations.

We have received word that Main Street is closed beyond Santa Fe for the resurfacing of Main Street downtown. We are working closely with both Goddard Public Schools and Goddard Police Departments to put plans together for safely transporting our students. From what we understand, the work is scheduled to be finished by Thursday night, so this route will need to be used for both Wednesday and Thursday dismissal. Please note that these closures may change without advance notice but we will do our best to communicate with our families.
For FIFTH grade: Take 199th to Langton, Langton to Elm. Elm will wrap around to South Street. Take South Street across Main to the north side of Discovery. Please exit the same way. Please follow all posted speed limits through the neighborhood. There is an attached map with the route highlighted.
For SIXTH grade: Take Pawnee to Main Street, turning left into the Discovery parking lot from Main Street. Please turn right out of Main Street back to Pawnee.
Please note that our buses will also need to stay on schedule, so please leave gaps for them to exit safely as you are stopped on Main Street.
We ask that you arrive at Discovery as close to 3:00 p.m. as possible so we are not blocking Main Street for an extended period of time. We understand that traffic will be an issue and ask for your patience as we work together to get our students safely transported home.

Ms. Nixon's Veterans' Wall is really growing! We love the pride our students have for the Veterans in their lives.

The City of Goddard is working on Main Street repairs this week. We will send out updates to you as we know how it will affect Discovery traffic.
Today, Main Street will be closed from Kellogg to Santa Fe during our normal dismissal time. Please plan on the pickup plan that was in place during Oak Street's parade.
FIFTH GRADE: please come down 199th to Santa Fe, take a left onto Main, and turn right on South Street to enter our side parking lot. When you leave, please make a LEFT turn onto Main Street, returning to Santa Fe and back to 199th.
SIXTH GRADE: please come down 23rd to Main, taking a right onto Main. You will turn left into our main parking lot to pick up your student. When you leave, please make a RIGHT onto Main Street, returning to 23rd.

We love our Veterans! Ms. Nixon asked her students to bring in photos of their Veterans and they have answered her request! This display is growing by the day!

Early voting will be held at the District Conference Center Thursday through Saturday, November 2-4, 2023. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7. Please note that you may see additional traffic in our parking lot during this time.
Thank you!
