Samsung Solve for Tomorrow

We want to congratulate Dr. Pinkerton and GHS Engineering Students for another successful project submission in Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow competition. These students develop an idea to help better our future and take this project from start to finish within their Engineering Design & Development class.  Lilly Montez, Anna Peery and Karaline Scott are participating in this challenge - we found out recently that we made it into Phase 2 - GHS has been recognized as one of the State Finalists (there are 300 in the US and 5 in Kansas).  The project is working to make a "Bee Bungalow" to help support Mason bees.

Per Samsung: "Our judges were fortunate to receive so many innovative ideas from around the country, which made the selection process extremely competitive. This year’s applications were truly some of the best we have ever received. We can see how much effort you put into your application, and we sincerely hope that you and your students feel extremely proud of this accomplishment."

We are so proud of the hours of dedication and hard work that Dr. Pinkerton and our students put into a project that helps benefit others. We wish this group the best as the competition continues into the next phase.
